Self(ie) Pride celebrates expressions of Pride and visibility from the LGBTQIA+ community.

Pride is a self-affirmation embraced by many of us who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual and/or transgender, as a statement of dignity, equality and visibility. Self(ie) Pride features the thoughts of individuals from the LGBTQIA+ community on what Pride means to them personally.

Self(ie) Pride has been funded through a Regional Activation Grant, as part of Melbourne Pride – a multi-generational and intersectional celebration; a State Government initiative designed to celebrate and commemorate Victorian LGBTQIA+ history and the 40th anniversary of the decriminalisation of homosexuality with events and activities across the state of Victoria.
